Day 165/365

It’s the Bellwoods Flea today!
There are two locations and I’ll be at 801 Dundas St. West, Hashtag Gallery.
The other location is just down the road at the Magpie, 831 Dundas St. West.
Come out and support local makers!
Day 153/365
If you’re like me you might like to plan ahead! Today I’m giving you a heads up that NEXT weekend I’ll be a vendor at the Parkdale Flea here in Toronto!
When: Sunday March 15, 2015
Where: Goodfellas Gallery 1266 Queen St. West, Toronto
I’ll be there with a great selection of my handbound journals, sketchbooks as well as some book jewellery and my bookbinding kits! Many other talented artisans and makers will also be there, so check it out if you can!
Day 143/365
Just a friendly reminder that there are only 2 days left of my shop-wide sale at Arts Market on college!
Everything in the Sprouts Press space is marked down by 30%, so make sure to scoop that journal you’ve been eyeing for a while – when it’s gone, it’s gone!
Day 136/365
It’s Cabin Fever February at the Arts Market on College!!
You might be asking yourself what, exactly, does this mean? What’s Cabin Fever February?? It’s an awesome sale with a handful of vendors, offering up to 50% off their entire space!!
As you can see, the entire Sprouts Press booth is listed at 30% off!! So come on in and pick out your favourite handbound journal. Then cozy up with a blanket and some tea while you fill your book with dreams of springtime!!
Day 120/365

Day 93/365
It’s a book smorgasbord! A smorgasbook, if you will!
Take a look some of the lovely handbound books that have found new homes over the last few months. Maybe one of them is now yours? I’d love to hear your favourite journalling topics and techniques!
A close up of some leather book spines from my earlier days of bookbinding. These were experiments with stitches along the spines of soft, leather journals. They started my love for trying new binding techniques and combining the best parts of bindings together, like my more recent Starburst books.
When the air gets that autumn crisp and I know winter is not far, I often think of these journals.
They are a warm and cozy light brown leather, with the last bits of summer brightness captured in the beading detail.

I don’t have any in stock right now and I have made a few variations of these books. But I enjoy the spontaneity and uniqueness while designing and crafting each book (no two are alike). I also love the bead work and the pop of colour and sparkle on the spine.
