Book Arts: Sampler Bookbinding
Join us for an afternoon of beginner bookbinding.  Learn three new soft cover bindings and make three sample notebooks.  Everyone leaves with a finished project.

Painted Longstitch/Linkstitch
Learn how to hand bind a soft cover book using the Longstitch Linkstitch technique!  First, students will learn basic paper decorating techniques using acrylic paint and a variety of implements.  Then students will incorporate these papers and bind it all into a book using Longstitch/Linkstitch.

When: Saturday February 3, 2018. 10am – 5pm

Painted Covers Bookbinding 
Join us for a day of unique bookbinding! Students will learn basic paper decorating techniques using acrylic paint and how to bind a variation of the pamphlet stitch, and the bowtie stitch. Everyone will leave with 2 finished, hand bound, customized books.

Make your own Ex Libris Bookplates Workshop!
Learn how to design, create and print your own Ex Libris bookplate! In this workshop students will learn basic relief printing techniques, using 3″ x 3″ softoleum blocks and lino cutting tools. Simple designs will be encouraged for beginners. Then students will print their blocks in a small edition of 10, in one colour, creating the perfect adornment for their book collection! Instructions will be given on how to print more bookplates at home, using everyday household tools.
