Where: St. Stephen-in the-Fields Church, 103 Bellevue Ave, Toronto

Normally, this time of year, I’m in the thick of One of a Kind Show prep, set-up and organizing booth helpers. It’s all about schlepping my product to the show, planning meals for days and how on earth I’m going to balance the online shop with 11 hour days at the show. My heart goes out to all my amazing colleagues steeped in that world right now! Today is the opening day of this year’s One of a Kind and many makers are eager to share that part of their souls that is their creations! Go and say Hi, wander the aisles and see what your local artists, designers and makers have been up to these past few months. Trust me, it’s worth your time. I’m going! As a visitor.
But for me, this year is a bit different. I’ve decided to take a break from that show and focus on smaller shows that spotlight my craft specifically, and the Etsy teams I’m a member of. And I’m even trying out a new show hosted by one of my most favourite printmaking/paper shops in the city (so exciting!!).
Take a minute and check out the Upcoming Shows section of my website to see where I’ll be selling my wares in person. I’d love to see you there – stop by and say Hi if you can!
Don’t forget that I’ve got an awesome Cyber Week Sale going in my Etsy shop till November 26, 2018! Go here for details.
Things will be a bit different around Sprouts Press this Autumn. I’m taking a break from the One of a Kind Show, and using this time to participate in some of my favourite shows that I couldn’t over the last few years.
For example, BOUND Book Arts Fair! (previously held at OCAD, now at the Arts & Letters Club). As a student, this show was the first time I sold one of my handbound blank books and realized that I could, in fact, make some money as an artist. I remember spending hours making case-bound books to sell for a mere $20 each. I also remember the thrill of selling my first pieces – what joy!
I’d love for you to stop by and say Hi, and witness this new version of the Book Arts Fair (and at the gorgeous Arts & Letters Club!).
When: Sunday December 9, 2018. 11am – 5pm
Where: Arts & Letters Club, 14 Elm St., Toronto (near Yonge & Dundas)
