365/365: Thank You! (but not goodbye)
Day 365/365
It’s the last day of the Sprouts Press 365 project! It’s been a fun year sharing my journey as an artisan and creative small business owner. I’ve enjoyed all your comments and likes, I hope you’ve enjoyed it as well.
I plan to continue blogging about Sprouts Press, my creative process, goings-on and other book-ish content, but it won’t be every day. I’m looking forward to seeing what sort of content I’m capable of on a more relaxed schedule, and sharing the growth of my little company. In the meantime, enjoy this collage of many of the books I’ve shared with you over the year! That’s a lot of books!!
The Studio on a Sunday
Day 327/365

Today I was in a different studio than my own, playing with indigo dye. However, I’ll save that for another day.
In the meantime here’s a photo from earlier this week of the first step to my hand painted notebooks. This is what the covers look like before I cut them up. Sometimes it’s hard to make that first cut when really is rather keep the piece for myself. But, they do make lovely notebooks that someone will cherish!

New to the shop
Day 205/365
Some new arrivals to the Sprouts Press Etsy shop! The Gold Florentine Journal, above, is as perfect for at-home writing as it is for on-the-go sketching! The finishing touches really bring out the character of this book, especially the reclaimed leather and vintage brass button. See it here.
The Map Journal, above, is one of many map journals I’ve made. I don’t know what it is about maps, but I love them. So, of course, I put them on covers of books, and inside books! The covers of this journal showcase a map of Greece, a place I have yet to go. It would make a wonderful travel journal/sketchbook, especially with the closure and spine protector to keep any collected paper ephemera safely inside. See it here.
Did you know I have an entire Travel Journal section in my Etsy shop? Check it out here!
Morsels of Spring
According to our calendars, spring is officially here. But in reality it’s not quite here yet! So I’m taking this time to stock up on these little book magnets. Or as I like to call them, morsels of spring!
Every part of these tiny books are offcuts from larger projects that I just can’t justify tossing. They’re papers I decorated by hand; paste papers, resist techniques, relief prints, and just washes of colour.
When bundled together in a set of 6, they’re quite cheerful! The idea is to make your own mini library, or share some with a friend!
