Coptic Stitch Class *New Dates!*

CollageIt

I’m so pleased to announce that there is a new date for another class of ‘Deconstructed & Reclaimed: From discarded novel to Coptic journal‘; one of my most popular bookbinding workshops!

In this class, participants will learn how to craft their own hand-bound hardcover journal using discarded books. This workshop will introduce the tools of the trade, materials, and techniques to deconstruct a book and repurpose it into a new journal, using the Coptic stitch to bind the book.

Perfect for beginners or those looking to practice and brush up on their Coptic binding skills, everyone will leave with a finished project.

When: Sunday September 18, 10am – 5pm
Where: Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild, 80 Ward Street, Toronto

For more information & to register, go here.

Studio Sunday (on a Monday)

It seems that I’m spending many Sundays in other people’s studios these days.  And yesterday was no exception.  I was over at Graven Feather teaching a lovely group the Longstitch/Linkstitch binding and the results were beautiful!

I have a few more classes scheduled for the fall, be sure to check my Workshops page to see them all.  Who knows, maybe you’ll start that handmade holiday gift in September this year!  Or maybe taking a class and learning a new skill is the perfect, unique gift for the person who has everything.
